Ben Grant, owner of Grant Automotive, grew up in Pine Junction and has been involved in the mountain community for the last 30 years. At the age of 15, Ben knew that his interest in automotive repair would determine his professional direction. Luckily, Kevin's Subaru was looking for an apprentice to work on their Japanese imports. Four years later they asked him to be the manager, which he did the last eight years at Kevin's. With his 12 years of experience in automotive repair and management, he decided to start his own business in the Conifer Auto Body building.

His excellent reputation and skill attracted a following. So many old and new customers wanted his service that he quickly outgrew his facility and had to move next door to a 12,000-square-foot automotive garage.

Grant prides himself in the volume of repeat service in American and Japanese-made vehicles. Grant Automotive has five full-time technicians and 12 full service bays. Grant has the latest diagnostic equipment, and an alignment rack that utilizes digital cameras to align all four wheels accurately. He also can do all mileage services recommended for vehicle warranty, specializing in late modeled fuel-injected cars and trucks. He now offers diesel performance upgrades such as exhaust systems and power chips.
